August 29th, 2009 we received the last update of our 3rd travelling gnome named Olim. Today, 1 year later GNOMEDIARIES officially stated Olim MISSING IN ACTION! Humanity not serious enough!

Olim is the GNOMEDIARIES 3rd travelling gnome that was send on route in Olympia, WA - U.S.A. by the GNOMEDIARES team to spread a big symbolic message for a better climate.

The message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE was successfully delivered from gnome host to host for a long period of time when this traveling gnome traveled from person A to B and from B to C, etcetera.

Unfortunately after his arrival in Waco (TX) we lost track of our brave 3rd travelling gnome. The last sign of life we received from Olim was in Waco (TX) on August 26th. That time Olim was registrated by Mark Waldrop who claimed to be his current host at that time. We tried servile times to contact Mark by e-mail and twitter asking him to send a picture to proof Olim's visit. Unfortunately we have never received any answer! 

The fact that we lost one of our travelling gnomes is a clear sign that humanity is not aware enough of the serious message that this gnome is trying to spread. The majority of humanity is not taking climate change serious enough.

The GNOMEDIARIES team has still little hope that their 3rd travelling gnome will report back in after this long period of silence.

The GNOMEDIARIES team urges everybody to lookout for a little red travelling gnome holding a message board with the GNOMEDIARIES logo.

This gnome is on route to save our climate, travelling dangerously in the hands of humans somewhere in the U.S.A., his last known location.

If you are currently hosting Olim, or if you have seen our lost travelling gnome, please e-mail us directly on TEAM [at] GNOMEDIARIES [dot] COM. Only e-mails with a picture to proof your gnome sighting will be accepted as evidence that this gnome is not MISSING IN ACTION and still is on route to save our climate.

About the GNOMEDIARIES initiative:

The message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE will be delivered from gnome host to host when this traveling gnome travels from person A to B and from B to C, etcetera. All travelling gnome hosts are asked to write a personal (environmental) diary entry and to submit a picture as proof of the visit. People can follow the route of the traveling gnome and his adventure in his personal diary on the internet.

Currently travelling and on route for the climate: 

“Kolden” the 1st GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his adventure in the hands of The GNOMEDAIRIES Team in Oss, The Netherlands.

Kolden started travelling on October 20th 2007 and is still at his current host Anna Marklund in Sweden.

“Yaldor” the 2nd GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his adventure in the hands of Peter Kluitenberg, at Bureau Bots in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Yaldor started travelling on January 19th 2008 and has endured heroically a mission to Sri-Lanka.

“Olim” the 3nd GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his adventure in the hands of Richard Brotherton at 510 Interiours in Olympia, WA - USA.

Olim started travelling on April 10th 2008 and is now officially stated MISSING IN ACTION after a long period of silence.
