GNOMEDIARIES is proud to inform you that today our 2nd travelling gnome "Yaldor" has been transferred back under the care of the GNOMEDIARIES team.

Today, after a ambitious but dangerous journey that took 2 years and 1 month, GNOMEDIARIES officially received her 2nd travelling gnome the first that travelled international and continental, back under the care of the team.

This brave travelling gnome travelled from Nijmegen, the Netherlands to Hikkaduwa - Sri Lanka where he reported his first impressions of the Sri Lankan environment, recommend Tuk-Tuks for public transport and reported household solid waste environmental issues that are ancient habits of the Sri Lankan people.

“Yaldor” the 2nd GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his “Save the Climate” adventure on January 19th, 2008 in the hands of Peter Kluitenberg who is the owner of Bureau Bots (one of the main sponsors) in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Mr. Kluitenberg was given the privilege to send “Yaldor” into the wide world to start his mission spreading the message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE.

Asking his hosts to write an episode of his "Save the Climate" adventure in his personal diary was Yaldors primary mission.

About the GNOMEDIARIES initiative:

The message that EVERYBODY CAN COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE will be delivered from gnome host to host when this traveling gnome travels from person A to B and from B to C, etcetera. All travelling gnome hosts are asked to write a personal (environmental) diary entry and to submit a picture as proof of the visit. “Kolden” the 1st GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his adventure in the hands of The GNOMEDAIRIES Team in Oss, The Netherlands.

Kolden started travelling on October 20th 2007 and was almost officially reported “MISSING IN ACTION” after 18 months not reporting back in.

“Olim” the 3rd GNOMEDIARIES travelling gnome started his adventure at 510 Interiors in Olympia, WA - U.S.A.

Olim started travelling on April 10th 2008 and was last spotted in Waco, Texas - U.S.A.
