Yéle Haiti is a grassroots movement that builds global awareness for Haiti while helping to transform the country through programs in education, sports, the arts and environment. Yéle’s community service programs include food distribution and mobilizing emergency relief. Sydney - People who buy plastic Christmas trees rather than authentic fir ones often say they are helping save the planet. But only if they use the artificial tree for every festive season for almost two decades, researchers in Australia said Saturday.

More and more people in Denmark are buying carbon dioxide quota certificates as gifts for Christmas. The sale of carbon dioxide certificates is continuing to rise sharply rise this year, according to the Danish Society for Nature Conservation.
